Construction Industry

Weighing scales and systems from Avery Weigh-Tronix (AWTX) can help construction companies improve efficiency by measuring inputs, finished goods and waste in order to maximize investment and minimize wastage. AWTX truck scales and weighbridges are reliable, accurate and tough enough to stand up to harsh construction industry environments. Our load cells and Weigh Bars under tanks, silos and vessels create a complete weighing system. For smaller loads, our floor scales, forklift truck scales, conveyor scales and bench scales are as tough and accurate as our larger scales.

Building Supplies and construction companies need weighing scales and systems to help the building construction industry to monitor materials inputted and waste in order to optimize efficiency. Builders of all types of buildings face uncertain demand in the wake of the global financial crisis. With volatile materials prices and low growth, building construction must be as efficient as possible to protect profits. Weighing scales and systems can help the building industry by monitoring materials input and waste in order to optimize efficiency and reduce wastage. Continue reading

Our range of scales have been designed to stand up to harsh chemical industry conditions with many having features specially designed for hazardous or corrosive environments. They can all be paired with sophisticated software and indicators to create weighing systems capable of controlling, monitoring and recording production and output.

Weighing scales and systems from Avery Weigh-Tronix can help monitor incoming feedstock, control production inputs and measure finished nutrients for accurate billing. Our range of scales are suitable for full truckloads, drums, palletized product and other, smaller loads. Load cells and weigh bars can be placed underneath tanks and vessels to create a complete weighing system which can include process control, recipe formulation and data transmission.

For pesticide manufacturing, weighing scales and systems from AWTX can help monitor incoming feedstock, control production inputs and measure finished nutrients for accurate billing. Our range of scales are suitable for full truck loads, drums, products on a pallet and other, smaller loads.

Avery Weigh-Tronix’s truck scales, floor scales, forklift truck scales and bench scales can measure inbound feedstock or finished pesticides. Our load cells and Weighbars can be placed underneath tanks and vessels to create a complete weighing system which can include process control, recipe formulation and data transmission.

Inorganic Chemical Manufacturing Weighing scales and systems from Avery Weigh-Tronix help control cost and quality in inorganic chemical manufacturing. Paints, pigments and dyes companies utilize Avery Weigh-Tronix’s weighing scales and systems to help coatings and colorant producers produce precisely formulated products, as well as in the inbound and outbound logistics of the paints, pigments and dyes industry.

When it comes to the petroleum and industrial gasses market, our weighing systems help the petrochemical industry control costs, control processes and prevent overloading and are suitable for use in corrosive, ATEX and other harsh environments found in the petroleum industry. The pharmaceutical industry relies on Avery Weigh-Tronix’s weighing scales and systems help pharma manufacturing companies by monitoring incoming feedstock, controlling the production process and measuring output. Polymers, rubber and artificial fibers count on Avery Weigh-Tronix’s weighing scales and systems which can help manufacturers of polymers, rubber products and artificial fibers to control costs during production. Solvents, sealants, adhesives and resins companies use weighing scales and systems from Avery Weigh-Tronix to help producers of solvents, sealants, adhesives and resins to precisely control both inputs and production, producing a high quality, cost efficient product.

Agriculture and Farming

Scales are very important to almost every business in existence. When checking goods in, monitoring processes, or quantifying products for sale, weight measurement is a vital tool in controlling costs, maintaining quality, and assessing efficiency.

Weighing is an essential part in the Agricultural and Farming products industry. Whether tracking arable yields, managing feed ingredients and livestock performance, or trading in raw agricultural produce such as wheat, rice, lentils/pulses, sugar-cane, tea or spices, weighing is critical to your bottom line. Platform scales, truck scales, weighbridges and other scales from Avery Weigh-Tronix are tough enough to deliver accuracy in the farm industry and collect this vital information accurately at every step of the way without slowing down your operation.

Products designed specifically for agriculture and on-farm applications will be found on our website, be sure to see the livestock section, truck scales, indicators and ag scales sections.

Cardinal Scale’s New 190A Weight Indicator with Axle Weighing Software

cardinal 190a with 760 axle scalesDesigned for non-legal-for-trade portable axle weighing applications such as with Cardinal’s CWL-40 and 760 series mobile wheel weighers, the USA-made 190A weight indicator features axle weighing software, traffic control mode to automatically capture accumulative axle weights without the driver having to leave the truck (when connected to a remote display with traffic lights and printer), two RS232 serial ports (for printer and remote display), optional rechargeable lithium ion battery, capacitive touch keys, and IP69K-rated wash-down enclosure (the highest protection rating possible).

The 1-inch/25-mm high backlit LCD is visible in direct sunlight and may be set to any one of 6 different customizable settings. The 190A weight indicator features 3 watertight gland connectors, quick-connect power connector, and one ID.

The USA-made 190A easily factors axle weights by pressing the PRINT key for each successive axle weight, or it can function in traffic control auto mode sensing each truck axle’s weight when connected to a remote display such as the SB500 with traffic signals and a printer such as the P150. Traffic control mode allows the truck driver to never have to leave the truck during the axle weighing process which speeds up weighing operations.

A variety of power options for the 190A enable mobile weighing on the go!

The PS190 wall adapter with US, UK, EU, and Australian plugs.
The 190DC12 car battery charger cable with 12-foot length and battery terminal eyelets (also available in 6 and 18 foot lengths).
Or the popular BP190 rechargeable lithium ion internal battery pack, which charges from the indicator through the PS190 or 190DC12 power options.

Three different modes of power give you versatile options with Cardinal’s 190A indicator.

Cardinal’s model P150 mobile high-speed direct line thermal printer is rechargeable lithium-ion battery powered (included) for use with the 190A indicator and portable scales. The P150 is compact and robust with a long-life printing head and high reliability. It features easy paper handling due to its paper drop-in style, 3.15-in/80-mm per second printing speed, 203 DPI x 203 DPI resolution, and serial and USB connectivity.
