Contact InformationSales: (919) 776-7737Service/Rentals: (919) 776-7737Fax: (919) 774-1622Requests for Quote -- We are more than happy to quote you on any of our products or services. However, lately we have been dealing with many customer's who call us and ask for quotes verbally and then end the conversation asking for written quotes. The end result is double the work and double the time for us. Don't get us wrong, it's a good problem to have and if it only happened occasionally that would be one thing, but it's becoming a frequent issue. So, we ask you to please email, fill out our sales form, or fax us if you need a quote in writing. If you have specific questions or need a quote over the phone, please feel free to call us. Sorry if this is an inconvenience for you but due to the volume of calls and requests that we receive, it has become a real time issue for us. Auction Info --- We are a weighing scale sales and service company. NOT AN AUCTION INFORMATION DEPOT. If you bought your scale/balance on Ebay, or are considering bidding/listing a weighing related item on Ebay or any other auction site --- Please do not call us asking for prices or addtional info just so you can use the info on an auction site! We are a business! If you've already bid/purchased the item, please contact who you bought the scale from for help. If they can't help you, please contact the scale manufactuer of the item. We will sell you parts, manuals, or additional related items. Repairs / Broken items --- If your scale/balance shows an error code or is broken and you purchased it from us, we'll gladly try to help & assist anyone that originally purchased the item from us. Unfortunately, many people tell us they bought the scale from us and actually did not. Then once we determine that they never purchased the item from us, we'll hear "well, I actually don't know where we bought the scale"... If we can't find your order info in our database we will refer you to the manufacturer of the product.
If I can't find a scale product on your online catalog, does that mean you don't have it?
What's Capacity? What's Readability? Why do I need to know this?
For example, if you would like to buy a standard 4'x4' 5000 lb capacity floor scale, the max capacity is going to be 5000 pounds and the readability is normally 1 pound increments. Please have an idea of what capacity/readability you need before contacting us and requesting a quote.
Are there minimum order quantities on scales?
Why don't you post prices on the website?Constant changes. Scale prices, or better yet steel prices, are constantly changing in todays world, therefore if we did post prices on our site, we would always be changing them...and our customer's wouldn't like that. We've had many satisfied customers call us and place an order even with no prices on the website because they know they are getting a quality product at a reasonable price. Some of our calibration weight prices are listed on the web and these are subject to change due to manufacturer price changes.
What Certs do I need with my Calibration Weights? We hear this quite often. It depends. You or your company need to determine what requirements you're going to be held to before buying our weights. You may not need any certificates at all. For example, is your company ISO or do you need traceability to NIST? Then, you would need traceable certificates. Unfortunately, many people call us having no idea what they need and expect us to have the "magic answer" and then get frustrated when we can't tell them what certs "they have to get". So, the best answer is to FIRST find out on your end what requirements you or your company need. This weight certification pdf file is very handy in determining what certificates, if any, you may need for your weights.
Do I need to calibrate my new scale? NO! 99.9% of the time your new scale comes to you factory calibrated. If you feel that you need to have it calibrated or wish to have it calibrated at your facility, you will need to call your local scale dealer to calibrate the item. Normally, this will cost you an hourly rate plus mileage. In some cases, you can take the scale to your local scale dealer. However, it is not a good idea for you to try to calibrate the scale yourself. The reason is simple. Scale technicians have experience calibrating scale systems and have certified test weights.
Payment InformationYou may pay with credit card--We accept Mastercard, Visa, Discover & American Express. We also accept cashier's checks & money orders. All payments must be made in US dollars. In some instances with proper credit references, we will allow you to open a NET 30 account which will allow you the opportunity to issue purchase orders (continental US only). Our credit checks on your company are extremely thorough and normally take at least 3 to 8 business days and THEN your order is entered. So, if you need an item in a hurry and you don't have an account with us, the best bet is to pay with credit card. |
