Got an email this week and thought I’d pass this on:
A veteran is someone who, at one point in his/her life, wrote a blank check made payable to The United States of America for an amount of up to and including their life.
That is Honor and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.
Many people go and visit their State Fair this time of year. I’m no exception. What a fun way to spend a day. When you do go and visit, you probably will notice the many displays set up who will guess your weight, your birth month or your age. Seems like they are located on every corner. They guess wrong and you win a prize. What scale do they normally have beside them?
Usually, it is an old mechanical dial scale. These days, not too many of those old mechanical dial scales are available. However, we do have these portable digital platform scales which are similar.
Here is our email winner so far this October…
Once upon a time in a village, a man appeared and announced to the
villagers that he would buy monkeys for $10 each.
